Bardstown Bourbon 2026 Discovery
The 2026 Discovery expression takes a very different approach. Bardstown selected mature 7-, 10- and 11-year-old bourbons for their balance of fruit and oak, then transferred the blend into custom barrels made from Garryana oak, also known as Oregon White Oak.
These rare Pacific Northwest barrels were hand-toasted for three hours by Oregon Barrel Works, then used to finish the whiskey for four months. The result is bottled at 112.8 proof and delivers layers of toasted oak, burnt sugar, baked apple cobbler, dried cherry and cinnamon bark, culminating in a long, warming finish driven by the distinctive Garryana oak.
Adding to the collectible nature of the pair, Louisville artist Margaret Archambault tasted each whiskey and translated its aroma, flavor and texture into original artwork.
